Iris & Rose
    All Ears Basset Sanctuary
Meet Iris and Rose, two beautiful basset hound sisters rescued from the Las Cruces shelter on
7/13/09.  They were picked up by animal control as strays on 7/6/09.  They are one and a half to two
years old.  Rose is a bicolor red and white, while Iris is a tricolor, mostly white with some black and
red.  Both girls tested positive for heartworm (slight cases) and Rose has a slight heart murmur.
When we received them they were both infested with ticks and fleas.  After four hours of
professional grooming and removing over 400 ticks between them, and all the fleas, they are both
resting well in their new huge air conditioned dog house.  They also came to us with kennel cough
and are being treated for that as well.  We took them to our vet within two hours after getting them
cleaned and she says they will be fine after their heartworm is cleared up.  Now, the real beauty of
these girls comes from within.  They are two of the most loving bassets we have ever seen.  So
gentle and loving, even after all they've been through.  As bassets to, they are small.  Rose weighs
27 lbs and Iris weighs 29 lbs.  They could stand to put on a few pounds but not alot.  They are totally
bonded with each other so we want them to be adopted together.  Other than their temporary
illnesses, they have no negative issues.  They seem to be already house trained.  When the time is
right, they both will be spayed and all necessary vet care will be provided.  Their path has
obviously been a rough and bumpy one but their road to recovery and happiness will be paved
with TLC.  We are keeping a 24 hour vigil on them.  We can't say enough good about these two
beautiful girls.  They deserve the best forever loving home we can find for them

James
Harvey (aka Sasquatch) is a very handsome basset boy who we believe
is about 5 years old.  He came to us at almost 100 lbs and is now down to
a svelte 90 with more to go.  We happy to say that he doesn't have any
problems at all with his diet and he LOVES to go on walks.  Anytime, any
place.  He also loves to have his belly rubbed, but right now he can't
quite roll over all the way.  Hopefully he will be able to in the near future.
Harvey was a stray picked up by animal control before he came into
rescue.  He's leery of some men when he first meets them, but usually
warms up to them quickly.  He is uncertain around small children, so his
furever home will be adults or older kids.
Harley is a very easy boy to live with.  He gets along with other dogs &
cats.  And he loves being near to his humans.
Harley is hw negative, neutered and up to date on shots.
Brutus
Brutus is a 5 year red/white old basset who is so full of love and only wants to find his very
own family to share that love with.  Brutus is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped
and hw negative.  He loves everyone he meets - be it 2 leggers or 4 leggers.  Although
Brutus is 5 he is a puppy in mind and body.  He loves to play with anyone that will play with
him.  Give him a belly rub and you've made a friend for life.

If you'd like to take Brutus into your family please fill out an application.

Brutus' adoption fee is $150.00

had! He likes nothing better that to lie on the couch with his humans and get a
nice, long belly rub or ear scritch. Flash is between 5-6, is neutered, up to date
on shots and chipped. He has been treated for heartworm and is completely free
of them, but will need to remain on preventative. If you're looking for a basset

because his mom couldn't give him the love & attention he so deserves. He is

meant to be. Since his previous owner had him out side 24/7 he is in the process
of being retrained for being and in/out doggy. With some time and patience and

We have 4 5-month old basset mixed pups.  All female and all adorable!  All are looking for their
furever families. We don't know what they are mixed with - but part of the mix is defintiely cute!
Their foster mom tells us they are all very loving, playful pups.  They are too young to be reliably
housebroken, but are paper trained.  They get along with other dogs and people.  We don't know
about cats.  All 4 of these sweeties will be spayed, chipped and up to date on shots before going to
their homes.

If you'd like more info please call Francine at 505-514-8912 or submit an
application on line.

Their adoption fee is $150.00
